Summer days call for Berry Picking. Today we headed out to Soomaa Rahvsupark National Park.
Soomaa Rahvsupark National Park is located about 2 hours from Tallinn. Nordic summers have long days. It makes for the perfect time to pick berries and spend time in the beautiful forest! Most popular berries to pick in the summer are Bilberry (Nordic Wild Berry) Cranberry, Cowberry, Wild Strawberry, Cloudberry, and Wild Raspberry.
Fun Fact: Estonians use Cranberries to make juice and to cure Diseases. The first cultivated variety in Estonia is named Kuresoo.
What to bring:
*Rain shoes (The Bogs are wet and most likely your feet will get wet)
*Basket for all your tasty berries
*Raincoat
*Camera, you will want to capture your experience.
*Insect Repellent mosquitoes are in full effect during summer months.
*Hand wipes your fingers will get blue/red
