Rustic Spa in Lahemaa National Park in Estonia

 update: Project Kodu has closed!

A few of our summer trips have been canceled, so we decided to stay in Estonia and experience this beautiful country. The summer months are amazingly beautiful in Estonia, the days are long and the weather is perfect for a Nordik Experience in the forest.  I like to take full advantage of the season because in a few months it will be cold and dark.

Lahemaa National Park about an hour from Tallinn, the capital city of Estonia. Project Kodu is a Eco friendly Rustic Spa. They have a straw bale sauna, wood fire hot tub, cast iron bath tubs, stargazing waterbeds, fresh water plunge pool and a hot outdoor eco rain showers. The perfect getaway to connect with nature and take some time for self care.  When we arrived we were shown around the property and taken to our "Romantic Teepee" in the forest. Our Teepee named "MAGIC" came with a bed, fresh towels, clean warm linen, mosquito netting and a little end table made of wood.

Morning View!

While exploring the National Park we found a beach, the perfect place to have a beer and a lunch break.
After enjoying the beach and National Park we were ready for some relaxation. And when you are at a rustic spa that means you take a bath in the forest!
Salt scrub contains minerals that a can reduce inflammation, when mixed with oils as part of the spa experience. Salt can replenish tired and dry skin.

The Natural Sauna is made with clay, and a living green roof. Adjacent to the
sauna is a fresh water dipping pool.

One of the most amazing experiences, taking self-care to a new level.
As you can see we truly enjoyed our rustic spa experience. We ended our weekend with a morning breakfast surrounded by chopped wood.
There are chickens at the around the property and produce our breakfast of an egg dish, fresh salad, and homemade bread.
