Where the Wine is Bottled Poetry!
Napa Valley is located north of San Francisco. The most famous wine region in California.
We decided to take a road trip up the coast of California. We love a road trip and adding a glass or two of wine makes me even happier.
We started our wine adventure at Housley Wine. When we decided to go to Napa the first place I wanted to try was Housley Tasting Room. As soon as we entered we knew we were in for a treat. We were greeted by friendly smiles and instantly felt like we were in a warm living room.
The vibe is super relaxed and welcoming.
With all that out the way, lets get to what we came here for....... the TASTING!
I use the word delicious a lot on this Blog but, Really, the wines are So GOOD!!!
It was love at first sip! We have since ordered online and have had a few bottle shipped to our home. I plan on drinking Estate Cabernet for Thanksgiving.

Next Stop.... Francis Ford Coppola Winery
Looking for a unique winery with lots of Cinema history. Talk about Netflix and Chill (with a glass of wine of course)
Francis Ford Coppola not only has some of the BEST WINES, but also has directed some infamous movies!
Francis filming career spans over five decades. Some of his movies memorabilia is featured inside the winery. Don Corleon's desk from The Godfather, The original automobile for the move Tucker-The Man and his Dreams rotates in the center of the lobby.
As we made our way through the winery we stopped at the wine bar to purchase a bottle of wine and a cheese board to enjoy on the terrace overlooking the Alexander Valley while we waited for our reservations at Rustic.

We enjoyed pizza, pasta and of course a bottle of wine. Talk about a carb overload... It was all worth it!

Time to Relax!
is located within walking distance of Sonomas quaint shops and Downtown Sonoma.
The Lodge has a cozy rustic vibe thats perfect for a romantic weekend.
Our Cottage came with a sitting area, large bathroom, outside courtyard and a fireplace.
An added bonus.... The Lodge's lobby has complementary Champagne and Wine Tasting in the evening. Cheers to that!

Downtown Sonoma
Sonoma Plaza has over 30 tasting rooms and restaurants. A historic town full of cute boutiques and shopping. You can learn more about the early history of the town or grab lunch at a local restaurant.
I recommend The Red Grape for delicious wood fire pizza.
Next Stop
San Francisco to see the Golden Gate Bridge
On our way back down the coast of California we stopped by the Golden Gate Bridge. The views were incredible.
