Day Date in Julian, California

For most San Diegan’s Julian is a hour and a half drive through the countryside. The route will take you through windy roads out to the famous City of Julian.
We went on a beautiful autumn day. The air was crisp and the sun was shining bright.
First stop Lunch!
We ate at Brong Branch It’s a restaurant right off main street. We opted to sit outside in the patio. We ordered a veggie burger and fries. And the plate of ribs. I loved my burger.
Husband was not a big fan of his ribs.

After lunch we headed back to Main Street to do some souvenir shopping. Main Street has many quaint cafes, book shops, mini markets, antique shops and places to get their famous Apple Pie!

Don’t forget Fudge!
I love fudge and Julian has some delicious fudge.
My favorite Butter Pecan! Yum!

Now for the main event
Apple Pie!
Julian has numerous places to get their famous pie. We went to the Julian Pie Company.  You can smell the deliciousness down the street. Just follow the smell!
The pies are baked daily. We even brought a fresh warm pie home to share with family.

If you are visiting San Diego and would like to see a little of the countryside. Head out to Julian and enjoy the day!
