Whats a Winter Wonderland trip with out a trip to the Ice Hotel? Hotel De Glace is located about 25 minutes outside of Old Quebec City. It's a beautiful drive. When we arrived it was freezing (5 Degrees Fahrenheit) and snowing a lot. The air was crisp. We were excited to see what the Hotel was all about. The Hotel De Glace has been on my Bucket List for some years now. Honestly I never thought I would ever go. It was just a random place I would always dream about and see images of but never actually go. BUT, here I am with my husband all bundled up and off to see what this unique hotel has to offer.
It's just as Magical as it looks on Instagram The only one of its kind in North America. The theme Changes each year. This year we experienced "The Gardens". We were Awestruck by the hotel rooms and the themed suites. There is also an Ice Chapel. Which is So Magical and dreamy. We warmed ourselves up with a few cocktails. We topped our tour off with a stop at the Sugar Shack! Warm Canadian Maple drizzled on ice and rolled. Yummy!
Side Note: We did not spend the night at the Hotel De Glace. We were too chicken to stay the night. But... I've heard wonderful thing about people who braved that cold. The hotel has hot pools and saunas for you to warm up before you turn in for the night, They say it's the best night of sleep they have ever had. Because of the oxygen and the serenity of the snow.
